I celebrate myself, and sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.

Justin Townes Earle & Dawn Landes - Do I Ever Cross Your Mind?
When I was younger, I would dive into my relationships. Push forward with someone until I saw where they were limited and then I would try to change them. Eventually, trying to change someone became boring so I just left them.
Now, if you’re older and wiser you will realize you can’t really change anybody. Instead, you move your relationship very slowly to make sure you can live with all of this person’s habits, issues and limitations. And more importantly, that they can live with you and your projections.
I love this song. It killed me at the end of Eternal Sunshine. And now *I* want to have a ‘When Harry Met Sally’ and ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ night. Thanks.
Beck - Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometimes
This song came on shuffle today, and now I have to watch Eternal Sunshine again. Which isn’t a curse at all, but it means I might not sleep tonight because I’m already watching When Harry Met Sally. Shut up, worth it.
